New secondary professon concept
Ok so instead of changing your profession in the desert, why not have an option to further specialized your primary? Start your char as wa/mo for example, play through to the desert, complete the associated quests and then choose to keep your secondary, monk in this case, or specialize as a warrior/beserker.
Of course the specialized classes can be open for debate, but the concept is sound IMO. When specializing in a primary class, the attribute that is associated with your primary, strength in this case, is essential. And of course unique skills that lend to your class become available to you, as well as elites later on.
So? any feedback on this guys?

Why'd you need 1 profession if you can have 2?
like Warrior they have one hole in their concept and that is that they can't heal themselves / protect (they can but till a certain point).... Monk-profession can fill that hole.
The concept of this game is that you find out which classes work best with each other and what skills are useful.
I think that if you have 1-profession, that you'd stand no chance even if your strength is high.
Having 2 professions gives you more 'tricks up your sleeve'.

True, but its hard to beat a true professional, the best warrior has skills and has adapted other skills to cope with the holes. When the char gets to the level where they have achieved all there is in their primary, they get to explore a new depth to that. Bring the idea and concept of a warrior, for example, to its pinnicle.
My idea is not without holes or room for improvement, perhaps it could be adapted, but there are those who would argue the finished product of GW itself is not without room for improvement.
I have four chars that have finished the game, by the time I have infused my armor I have all but abandoned my secondary class. By then I have found the skills and combos that achieve the best result in my chars role. Beside that is why I have 7 other members in my group with me, to compensate for my chars shortcomings. If I had the perfect balanced char as you suggest, then i wouldn't need a group to back me up then would I? Henchies, guildies, or pugs.

The 2 professions you can have are also because there is a limit to 4 character-slots.
Btw I don't think it would make it easier to be someone with more tricks up their sleeves, they can suddenly change their battle-style and overthrown you.
What happens if some monk steps up and you think ahh piece of cake, and he suddenly uses Necromancer skills which the warrior is the weakest against.
Then it's like 2 on 1.
Besides not everyone is a pro, it will be extremely hard to maintain 1 profession and to keep yourself alive.

I have to agree that by the time i reached kryta i had abandoned all but one of my secondary skills (healing breeze) and then when i reached the desert i switched that for resurrect. so i now have no skills which are affected in any way by my secondary professions attribute points. However im not so sure that there is any need for a further specialisation as there are already a wide range of skills for each profession and those skills relating to the professions primary attribute can only be improved and hence effectively used by players with that primary profession
